Baby Shower

I had the very best baby shower ever last Saturday, hosted by Aunt Paula and Becca and Karalyn. First of all, aren't these invitations so cute?! I love the little birds.
This table! It was a cookies and milk theme and everything was just too too cute. And they made a diaper cake, which I've always secretly wanted!
I just cannot even say how awesome this is.
Look at that little elephant at the top! And the rubber ducky with glasses holding a book!
Milk, chocolate milk, and water in these bottles. And striped straws. Seriously, these ladies should go professional.
We had homemade oreos (poor Paul, we couldn't save him any because they were just too good!), snickerdoodles (THANK YOU KATELYN...I ate way too many snickerdoodles), and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, and pineapple, oranges, and cream puffs. AND ham delights, one of my favorite kinds of sandwiches.
I got to keep the bear and the footie pajamas :D The majority of the guests were my Bradshaw aunts and cousins, but my sister-in-law Andrea and my friend Keilani were also able to come. I have a ton of cousins so it was a very big group!
Lorin and Janie won the first game--a baby-word unscramble that I really did not do well at.
Then we did one of the coolest things I've ever seen at a baby shower. Everyone made me a page in a Quiet Book. This was so, so nice! Jack is going to love it.
Look how hard everyone's working!

Yes, this is my cousin Breezy, and YES we are due on the same day. She's having a boy as well, but from what I can tell, my boy is going to be able to beat up her boy, because he must be at least twice as large! I don't know why my belly is so big, but everyone gets a good laugh when they see us standing by each other.
Oh wait, maybe here is the reason for my extra big belly. Darn you snickerdoodles!
Karalyn graduated with an Elementary Education degree, can you tell? :)
After making the quiet book and eating the oh-so-yummy food, my sisters did their game that they made. It was a Price is Right game, and we all had to guess the exact price (without going over) of a bunch of baby items. I lost terribly, but luckily it was because I over guessed on nearly everything.
The last two people playing had to guess the exact price of this! My family made this! It's Sully riding a diaper tricycle!
And he's even wearing a diaper!
It's so cute that I don't think I'll ever take it apart and actually use all the stuff it's made out of. Breezy won the game, and Camilla was the runner up.
Then I got to open all my marvelous gifts! Ah, these pictures. I know I will look back at them in a year and just laugh because of my ridiculous size. I really got so many wonderful things from everyone. I can't believe how many homemade things I got! Lori and Sharlan both MADE me blankets, Katelyn made some truly amazing burp cloths, Breezy made me a nursing cover, Paula made me a hooded baby bath towel, and my grandma said another blanket is in the works. Sewing is something that truly baffles me, and these presents are just priceless! I loved all the tiny, soft, adorable things that everyone gave me.
Here is a picture of the baby's dresser. I'm starting to put all his new friends on it :)
Thank you so much everyone for the shower! I am just overwhelmed by everyone's generosity. Now hopefully my mom's prayers for a fat-cheeked baby will happen soon!

That is the most awesome baby shower I've ever heard of! Quiet books!? What a great idea! And, it looked like you had no less than a small country attending! Still so sad I missed it... :(

Andrea told about how awesome your shower was. Never seen a diaper tricycle. Thats amazing! Wish I could've been there. And you carry your baby just like me: super low. People kept telling me I was about to deliver cause I was so low but thats how it always was. Plus, Breezy is quite tall it looks like which always makes for a smaller belly. No worries. Eat more snicker doodles!
